What is the biggest change in children after one year of attending an international school?

After one year of attending an international school, what is the biggest change in the child?
Parents say this!
❤️ Sharing from Hyman's mom!

One year ago, the two things I worried most about
When our family first decided to let our child attend an international school, to be honest, I was quite anxious.
Would they fall behind if their English wasn't good enough?
Are international schools too "relaxed," leading to a lack of solid learning?
Friends around us all said, "International schools are all about playing,"
But I hoped more for my child to grow up in an environment that respects individuality and encourages expression.
So, we gritted our teeth and chose HIS!

✨ One year later, the changes in my child amazed me!
One evening, he came to me with a PPT and said:
"Mom, I have a presentation tomorrow, help me practice my spoken English."
I was stunned at that moment—was this the same kid who used to be afraid to read English texts? 🤩
The teacher told me that over this year, he has learned teamwork, researching issues, and sharing opinions.
It's not passive learning, but active exploration. 🔍
The biggest change isn't actually in the grades 📝
In the past, he used to ask, "What score did I get?"
Now, he asks, "Why is it like this?" and "Are there other possibilities?"
In project-based learning (PBL),
children are encouraged to ask questions, debate, and express different ideas. 💡
Gradually, he has become more confident and more assertive. ✨
📜 The "harvest list" from this year
✅ English improved to the point of being able to independently complete presentations
✅ Learned to look up information and conduct their own research
✅ Became braver in expressing themselves
✅ Became more empathetic—will actively comfort friends
These changes
are brought about by the "subtle and gradual" educational atmosphere at HIS every day.
As a parent, the one thing I most want to say is
"He hasn't just improved in grades; his whole person has brightened up." ✨
It turns out the true meaning of education
is to let children find the joy and direction in learning.
At HIS, I see a child who is "seen and respected."

What surprising changes have you seen in your child after they started attending an international school?
Feel free to leave a comment and chat; perhaps our stories are very similar. ❤️
